PERI was at the BIC Shanghai Exhibition

Highlights at the BIC Exhibition

Since its start in 2013, the International Building Industrialization of Construction Exhibition Asia (BIC) has taken place every year in Shanghai and has already become one of the leading construction industry events in China. Last year BIC relocated its home base to China's new prime exhibition center NECC, in Shanghai's Qingpu district. The 16 Billion ¥ (2 Billion €) venue plays host to more than 600 intenational and domestice exhibitors, over an impressive 80’000m2 area, with more than 80’000 visitors annually.

Last month, PERI Hong kong & Shanghai participated in the Shanghai 8th International Building Industrialization of Construction (BIC) Exhibition Asia and had the honour of sharing our innovation and systems at the BetonTage Congress and the Formwork and Scaffolding Summit. We would like to thank BIC and all guests who took time to visit the PERI booth.

Building Information Modelling (BIM)

Some highlights of the exhibition included informative sharing of Building information Modelling (BIM) by PERI, a future-oriented method which helps to plan the process of construction. All construction components included in BIM are described in detail regarding their visual, technical and functional properties. One part of it consist of Stereo Panorama Renderings. Clients can get to immerse in a 360° view of the project before executing the actual job. All they need to do, is simply scan a QR code and attach the mobile phone to a pair of virtual reality-glasses to experience the 3D design.

PERI Systems for the Chinese Construction Market

At the exhibition, guests also got to learn about our new heavy-duty shoring systems, HDS & PS100, and received an opportunity to test PERI UP and DUO on site. All these models are customized particularly for the Chinese construction market. With our systems in place, construction costs can be minimized by fast and easy assembly procedures; while construction safety can be greatly increased through our built-in safety features.
