Tseung Kwan O - Lam Tin Tunnel, Hong Kong
The Tseung Kwan O – Lam Tin Tunnel is an approximately 3.8 km long dual two-lane highway, connecting Tseung Kwan O and East Kowloon. The project includes the construction of a 2.2 km long tunnel with portal facilities and ventilation buildings.
TRIO and VARIO are used for the construction of a 14m high tunnel lining at the Tseung Kwan O portal. The modular systems are highly suitable for infrastructure projects like this one, meeting the requirements for flexible pour heights, intricate block-outs and no-tie concrete pours throughout the project. This flexibility enables efficient construction and reduces labor costs.
